Who best to listen to than those that use the solutions on a daily basis? This article provides some of the most interesting results from the survey. We hope you'll benefit from this unbiased customer feedback. Online Solutions vs. Installed Software
The study found that online solutions continue to gain popularity. Currently 18% of nonprofits are using an online solution to manage donor and/or member records, compared to only 13% in 2006. The decline in the use of locally-installed software for managing donor and/or member records has been even more dramatic, shrinking nine percent from 87% in 2006 to 78% in 2008.The gap has closed between the percentages of organizations using online solutions and organizations using locally installed software for mass electronic communication with donors/members. Thirty-nine percent of organizations use an online solution, compared to 37% using installed software. Products Used Raiser's Edge is still the most popular product among the random sample of customers polled, with 31% of them using it. DonorPerfect and eTapestry are a distant second and third, with 6% and 5% of customers respectively. Usage Habits
